Christopher Peters, associate law professor at Wayne State University's Law School, commented about the $400-million settlement Monday night between Compuware and IBM, concluding a 3-year-old case. Peters said presenting highly technical evidence to jurors -- as opposed to having a bench trial -- can be risky.
